Staff Selection Commission declared final result of the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ LDCE – 2008

subject: Stenographer Grade ‘C’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2008 Nomination of qualified candidates – regarding.

The undersigned is directed to say that the final result of the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2008 has been declared by the Staff Selction Commission on 23.3.2010. Based on the result of the examination, the SSC has recommended 76 (General­63 and SC-13) candidates for appointment to the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ for the Select List Year 2008. Accordingly, 76 candidates are hereby allocated to various cadres units of CSSS as shown in the Annexure to this O.M. The dossiers of the candidates, as received from the Commission, are sent herewith and they may be retained, on their appointment, as part of their personal files. It is requested that before the candidates are actually appointed, particulars of their service, etc. as shown in the dossiers may please be checked up from the original entries available in their respective Service Books. They may be appointed’ to Steno Glade ‘C’ of CSSS provided they are clear from vigilance angle.

2. It is requested that the qualified candidates may be relieved immediately for appointment as Steno Grade ‘C’ in the CSSS cádre to which they have been nominated. These qualified candidates may be included in the Select List of Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS for the year 2008 in the manner indicated in the CSSS Rules, 1969. Copies of appointment orders may be endorsed to this Department and the SSC.

3. No ST candidates have been recommended by the Commission and the remaining unfilled vacancies belonging to ST category may be carried forward to the subsequent Select List in accordance with the instructions/rules in force.

4. Receipt of this O.M. together with the enclosure(s) may please be acknowledged.

Result of Combined Matric level (Main) Exam, 2008 announced



The results of the Combined Matric Level (Main) for filling up the posts of Grade ‘C’ Stenographers, Grade ‘D’ Stenographers and Lower Division Clerks in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices (other than in Central Secretariat Clerical Service Cadre) conducted by Staff Selection Commission have been announced.

In the Main written part of this recruitment, a total of 17,512 (Lower Division Clerks: 10283+Grade ‘D’ Stenographers: 7229) candidates are qualified for being called for Skill test in Typewriting/Stenography test. Schedule for holding the Skill Test in Typewriting/Stenography will be available on Commission’s website shortly. The result of written part of Grade ‘C’ Stenographers of the said examination will be declared separately. The skill test for Lower Division Clerks and Stenographers of the said recruitment will be held on Computer with option available to the candidates to take the skill test on manual typewriter. In this regard candidates have to give their option to the concerned Regional Offices of this Commission immediately. Once, the option given by the candidates in this regard will be treated as final.

6,43,435 had candidates registered for the Preliminary examination. The result of the preliminary examination of the said recruitment was declared in August 2008 wherein 67,205 candidates were declared qualified for appearing in the Main examination of this recruitment.

Filling up of the post of Secretary-Cum-Controller

Subject:- Filling up of the post of Secretary-Cum-Controller of Examinations- in the pay scale PB-4, Re. 37,400-67,000+ GP-8700/- (Director leve]), Staff Selection Commission (Hqrs), New Delhi on deputation basis.



It is proposed to fill up the post of Secretary-Cum-Controller of Examinations, Staff Selection Commission with Headquarters at New Delhi in the pay scale of Rs. PB-4, Rs. 37,400-67,000 + GP-Rs.8700/- (Director level). The eligibility criteria as per Recruitment Rules is given in the Annexure- 1. The pay and other conditions of service of the selected officer will be regulated in accordance with this Department's OM.No. 2/29/91-Estt (Pay-II) dated 05th January, 94, as amended from time to time.

2. Application of only such officers will be considered as are routed through proper channel and are accompanied with (i) bio-data in the proforma at Annexure- II; (ii) the CR dossier of the officer or clear photocopies of the upto date eRs of the officer containing CRa of at least last five years, duly attested by a Group 'A' officer; Gill cadre clearance; (iv) clearance from vigilance and disciplinary angle; and (v) statement giving details of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last ten years and (vi) a certificate that in the event of selection, the officer would be relieved to join the duties of the post.

3. All Ministries/Departments are requested to forward the applications of willing and eligible officer in the prescribed proforma to: Shri Suneel K. Arora, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training), Room.No. 215-A-II, North Block, New Delhi-l10001, so as to reach this office latest by 16.10.2009. Applications not accompanied with the required certificates/ documents stated in para 2 above will not be entertained.
